In addition to the Presidential Physical Fitness Test, other fun and informative activities are planned check out our activities page for more information
The goal of FitFest is to encourage fitness and physical activities to children at a fun, free, festival event.
“With our schools reducing or eliminating time for Physical Education, we believe it is imperative to provide opportunities for families to enjoy physical activities and adopt healthy lifestyles.”, says Steve Curley, who originated the Fit Fest idea during his term as the Southeast Tulsa Rotary Club’s president. A centerpiece of the event will be the President’s Fitness Challenge testing for 6-12 year olds. A special FitFest Medal will be awarded to all who participate.

The University of Oklahoma’s Community Health Clinics operating in many Tulsa elementary schools will benefit financially from FitFest. The Southeast Tulsa Rotary Foundation, which supports numerous projects for children, will also benefit.

Drawings will be held for 30 bicycles and helmets provided by the Southeast Tulsa Rotary Foundation. Children who complete the fitness testing will be eligible for the drawings.

The event is free and open to youth of all ages. Other just-for-fun activities for the youth include inflatable jumpers, DJ with limbo, hula hoop contest, break dancing, and more.

The MidFirst Bank will match contributions at the coin van for those interested in supporting the mission of FitFest to promote physical activity, and to adopt healthy lifestyle choices.

Lola’s Caravan Food Truck will be on site and a healthy grilling demo by Chef Michael Fusco is also a part of the event.
