The Journey To Christmas – Hope

The Journey to Christmas-Hope

Hope is a powerful element of the Christmas plan. Biblical hope is very different from worldly hope. Godly hope is placed in the character of God who empowers what we are hoping for.

Worldly hope is only based on luck and circumstance aligning for the desired result. The hope of Christmas is in the Savior born into humanity to restore a relationship with the Creator. God can and will make all things right as only He can.

Psalm 25:5 (NLT) asks, “Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.”
Psalm 33:20 clearly states that our hope is in the Lord our help and our shield. God’s divine plan gives us hope for the future according to Jeremiah 29:11.

Jesus was foretold to be the hope of the Gentiles in Isaiah 49 and Matthew 12:21 tells us “In his name, the nations will put their hope”.

The wise Magi from Persia journeyed a great distance to see the king sent by God to fulfill their hope. They followed the star in the hope to find the way to God. The star led them to an infant. The baby that they saw in a manger was their hope and salvation. Matthew 2:2

Let the love of God shine like that star in your heart and engender hope for your future by the hand of Almighty God.
