Prayers to Pray for Your Grandchildren

If you have grandchildren, you know that they can be one of the greatest blessings in the entire world. Whether you have a very strong relationship with your children or not, it’s a wonderful way to see them become parents and most of us are delighted to help out when we can.

Regardless of whether or not your grandchildren are in a good environment or not, don’t forget to pray for them! Here are a few prayers that you might consider praying for them daily:

Pray for Their Health

Heavenly Father, Please bless my sweet grandchildren. I know that they are so fortunate to be alive in this time where doctors are able to do so much, but I pray that you would keep a watchful eye over them and help them to stay or become healthy so that they would not suffer. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray for Their Education

Lord, I want to lift up my grandchild’s educational experience and I pray that they would learn to see Truth in all that they see and hear. I pray that you would teach them to be empathetic towards the least of these and I pray that you would help empower them through their education to find ways to bless others. Thank you Lord. It is in your name I pray, Amen.

Pray for Their Faith

Jesus, I humbly come before you and boldly ask that you would make yourself and your love abundantly clear to my grandchildren. I pray that your love impacts and transforms them so that they learn to walk with you daily. I pray that I can be a positive guide for them and that you would surround them with people who love the Lord. In your name I pray, Amen.

Pray for the People Who Influence Them

God, I know that children, even myself when I was a child, are heavily influenced by friends, teachers, and others around them. God, I pray that you would protect them and use these people to be a positive influence for your kingdom. Let them be kind, loving, and treat my grandchildren well, but when they don’t, I pray that you would give my grandchildren the discernment to know what is not okay and how to seek help or to find different spheres of influence. In your name I pray, Amen.
