On this journey to Christmas, we have seen the Magi trust in the biblical hope of God’s promise to seek out the king following a star. We have seen the angels proclaiming God’s peace to the earth and all who live on it. The shepherds went from the manger with great joy and proclaimed the Savior to all in crowded Bethlehem in the middle of the night.
We complete the journey to Christmas surrounded by the love of God the Father expressed in the birth of God the Son. John 1:14 exclaims,
“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”
The birth leads to John 3:16,
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Christmas leads to Calvary and God the Son became human in order to make a way through his sacrifice on the cross for humanity to return to fellowship with God the Father.
The gift of love is the greatest gift God has given. The gift of love is wrapped in peace and given with joy to everyone in the hope that each person will receive the love of God the Father in their heart. Do not let this Christmas go by without receiving this free gift of eternal life in fellowship with God the Father. If you allow the love of Christ to fill your heart this Christmas you will overflow in love, in peace, in hope, and in joy both now and forever. Merry Christmas!
